This webinar provides general information about the UK PACT Green Recovery Challenge Fund and our expectations for quality applications for funding. It will focus on the themes and timelines for the first call for proposals in August 2020, specifically for applicants relevant to Asia.
Organisations and individuals that have an interest in applying for funding for the delivery of technical assistance projects that will build capacity in the thematic areas outlined below, as well as those who would like to find out more information in order to share details of the fund with relevant parties.
The first round of funding launching in August 2020 focuses on two themes:
Future funding rounds will focus on different themes and regions, including countries in Sub-Saharan Africa. Details of these future funding rounds will be announced later this year.
UK PACT (Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions) is a unique capacity-building programme. Jointly governed and funded by the UK Government’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) through the UK's International Climate Finance, it works in partnership with countries with high emissions reduction potential to support them to implement and increase their ambitions for tackling climate change.
