“The most important contribution of CCADI is generating knowledge and giving investors in the country the opportunity to understand the importance of incorporating the climate agenda into investment decisions.”
- Eduardo Alfonso Atehortúa, Head of Latam, Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI)
The CCADI is working to promote the inclusion of climate change risks into investment decisions by institutional investors, including pension and private funds, insurance companies and banks - the first step to mobilise capital flows to low-carbon investment. In its first phase, CCADI worked closely with public and private stakeholders in the financial sector to foster a systemic approach that supports this transformation.
In the new phase, CCADI will provide technical assistance to promote the adoption of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations for financial system actors and enhance the supply and demand for green financial products. The project will provide recommendations to Colombian government institutions for policy and regulatory development to accelerate the greening of Colombia’s financial system and investments into green projects.
UK PACT (Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions) is a unique capacity-building programme. Jointly governed and funded by the UK Government’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) through the UK's International Climate Finance, it works in partnership with countries with high emissions reduction potential to support them to implement and increase their ambitions for tackling climate change.
