The Provincial Government of Daerah Khusus Ibukota Jakarta Raya (DKI Jakarta), and Transportation Agency (Dishub Jakarta) seek to provide reliable and modern international standards of transportation, with a key focus on public transportation services and an embedded sustainable strategy. As part of their commitments, they are developing their electric vehicle (EV) transition strategy and Provincial Regulation on Transportation Planning (Perda Rencana Induk Transportasi).
The goal of this skill-share was to support DKI Jakarta in developing an EV toolkit capable of projecting future EV needs, as well as calculating the corresponding carbon reduction potential and infrastructure requirements. Specifically, the skill-share helped DKI Jakarta to develop a model and provided in-person training for officials on how to use it, ensuring that key staff could amend the model for future use to support EV policy decisions.
Further EV toolkit training was provided to key agency staff at a later date, whilst small alterations were also made to the toolkit to increase its functionality.
