The project's primary goal is to provide vital support and enhance the capacity of Brazil's National Secretariat of Bioeconomy, operating under the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (SBC/MMA).

Throughout two years, the project will focus on offering technical support for the development of the National Bioeconomy Strategy, the National Bioeconomy Development Policy (PNDBio), the Bioeconomy National Comission (CNBio), the Bioeconomy and Sociobiodiversity plans, and the conceptual design and implementation plans of BioHubs in the Amazon, Cerrado, Caatinga and Atlantic Forest. In addition, there will be subsidiary studies for BioHubs implementation in Pampa and Pantanal.
“Brazil is one of the best-positioned countries in the world to achieve a just transition to an economy with a positive impact on climate, nature and people by 2030.

Through this project, we have the opportunity to catalyse this change, guiding national strategies, policies and instruments towards a development model based on a bioeconomy that is greener and inclusive, generating products, processes, and services based on the sustainable use, regeneration, and conservation of biodiversity, having innovation, scientific and traditional knowledge as guiding principles”.
