Project summary:
The project activities include a consolidation meeting between the RIA and CBA teams focused on carbon pricing and carbon trading, emphasising the urgency of advancing the Climate Bill within parliament. The project is expected to help ensure the DPR drives accountability and legislative progress on climate and environmental issues, while supporting Indonesia in taking concrete steps towards achieving its international climate targets.
Project outcomes:
This ongoing project aims to strengthen the Indonesian Parliament’s (DPR) role in supporting the country’s climate commitments by promoting inclusive, evidence-based climate legislation and enhancing oversight of the green growth agenda and the implementation of Indonesia’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC).
UK PACT (Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions) is a unique capacity-building programme. Jointly governed and funded by the UK Government’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) through the UK's International Climate Finance, it works in partnership with countries with high emissions reduction potential to support them to implement and increase their ambitions for tackling climate change.
