Join our webinar to find out how you can apply for grant funding for the Nature-based Solutions Call for Proposals, within the ASEAN-UK GTF (Green Transition Fund) programme. The ASEAN-UK GTF is the UK Mission to ASEAN's flagship programme on climate and environment. This programme is delivered through the UK Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transition (UK PACT) mechanism. At this webinar, we will provide further details on the programme and details of this call. Please note that this event will be hosted in English.
Organisations with relevant experience in delivering technical assistance and capacity-building projects in the areas of Nature-based Solutions are invited to attend our market engagement webinar. Both for-profit and not-for-profit organisations can apply as the lead organisation. Government entities including the ASEAN Secretariat are not eligible to receive ASEAN-UK GTF funding, but their priorities inform the focus of this Call for Proposals.
To be eligible for funding, each proposal must respond to one of the work packages below:
Pillar V: Nature-based Solutions (NbS)
ASEAN-UK GTF expects that each project proposal should focus on a single work package. Applicants can submit multiple proposals, with each proposal addressing a different work package. These projects should work closely with the ASEAN Secretariat to ensure alignment with ASEAN strategic documents, provide benefits to the public and private sector as well as the wider communities through piloting transformational technologies and facilitating evidence-based climate mitigation action. Climate adaptation co-benefits are welcome.
Projects will be selected through a one-stage open and competitive call for proposals and will receive grants of up to £800,000 per project per financial year, with an estimated duration of 15 months.
Projects will cover an implementation period of October 2025 until March 2027. However, we ask that applicants propose an activity delivery period from October 2025 – December 2026 (15 months). This leaves January – March 2027 for project final reporting and hand-over. The possibility of project extension will be assessed in due course.
This timeline is subject to change. All updates relevant to this call will be communicated via the ASEAN-UK GTF web page.
UK PACT (Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions) is a unique capacity-building programme. Jointly governed and funded by the UK Government’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) through the UK's International Climate Finance, it works in partnership with countries with high emissions reduction potential to support them to implement and increase their ambitions for tackling climate change.
