Colombia-UK PACT Market Engagement Webinar: Just Energy Transition and Green Finance sectors

Join our webinar to find out how you can apply for grant funding for both the Just Energy Transition sector and Green Finance sector Call for Proposals, within the UK PACT (Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions) programme in Colombia. Who is this event for?

We invite all organisations with relevant specific experience in delivering technical assistance and capacity-building projects in the Just Energy Transition and Green Finance sectors to register. This could be think-tanks, consultancies, academic institutions, community organisations, NGOs, professional associations, or any similar organisations that have the knowledge, skills and experience to deliver an eligible project.
 
Both for-profit and not-for-profit organisations can apply, but all projects must be on a not-for-profit basis. Government agencies, Public Institutions and Government departments are not eligible to receive UK PACT funding.

What will we be funding?

Through consultation with the Government of Colombia and the private sector, UK PACT has identified key opportunities for the Just Energy Transition and Green Finance sectors. We are looking to award grant funding for projects that will assist the Government and key stakeholders with capacity building, regulation and financial mechanisms to overcome main sector barriers.  
To be eligible for funding, all projects must respond fully to at least one of the specific intervention areas of the sector applying to. These will be presented in more detail during the event.

Just Energy Transition sector

• Area of intervention 1: Support the expansion and deployment of large-scale non-conventional renewable energy projects;
• Area of intervention 2: Support the modernisation of the electricity market;
• Area of intervention 3: Support the just and equitable phasing out of coal-fired power plants.

Green Finance sector

• Area of intervention 1: Support the adoption of green and climate-related practices and standards in the financial sector to accelerate the flow of green finance into the market;
• Area of intervention 2: Enhance structuring capacity for climate and nature projects to achieve financial closure and unlock green finance flows. 
  

Please note that these are two separate Calls for Proposals. Applicants may apply to each sector individually, but a single project cannot be submitted across both sectors.
