GRCF: Introducing a new funding round for Asia and Latin America

We are pleased to announce that today the UK PACT (Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions) programme has launched a new funding round of the Green Recovery Challenge Fund (GRCF). You can find out more here.

The GRCF is looking for innovative ideas for technical assistance projects that support low-carbon transitions and a green, resilient and inclusive economic recovery across ODA-eligible countries in Asia and Latin America.

What are we funding?

The fund will award up to £500,000 per annum per project for projects that help deliver ambitious action on climate mitigation in Asia and Latin America under two distinct themes:

  1. MRV tools for forests, land use and agriculture supports emissions reduction efforts and generates economic opportunities in Asia and Latin America by improving the sustainability of forest and agricultural practices through accurate measuring, reporting and verification (MRV).
  2. Greening financial systems continues its work in Asia to mainstream climate-related financial risks and opportunities in order to unlock investments that contribute to achieving net zero goals and a just transition.

Who can apply?

Applications are open to applicants registered as not-for-profit organisations including academic institutions, NGOs, professional associations or similar organisations that have the knowledge, skills and experience to deliver technical assistance projects in the priority sector outlined. For-profit organisations can participate as consortium partners to the lead implementing partner submitting a proposal.
